ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,552,756, issued on Feb. 17, was assigned to INNOVATIVE MOLECULES GMBH (Munich).

"Deuterated aminothiazole compounds as antiviral compounds" was invented by Christian Gege (Ehingen, Germany) and Gerald Kleymann (Bad Salzuflen, Germany).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention relates to novel deuterated compounds of Formula (I) to a process for their preparation and to their use as medicament, in particular as antiviral medicament."
