ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,410,147, issued on Sept. 9, was assigned to IMPERIAL COLLEGE INNOVATIONS Ltd. (London).

"Surfactants" was invented by Amir Al Ghatta (London), Jason Patrick Hallett (London) and Raul Ignacio Aravena Contreras (London).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to compounds derivable from the esterification of a fatty alcohol and furoic acid according to Formula (I). The present invention also relates to the use of said compounds as surfactants, compositions comprising said compounds, and the manufacture of said compounds."
