US Patent Issued to IHI on March 3 for "Composite blade" (Japanese Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,565,843, issued on March 3, was assigned to IHI Corp. (Tokyo).

"Composite blade" was invented by Shogo Yagihashi (Tokyo), Atsumu Omae (Tokyo), Toshihiko Hosaka (Tokyo) and Takaomi Inada (Tokyo).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A composite blade includes: an airfoil section, a root (blade root), and primary laminates and secondary laminates alternately laminated at the root, which respectively include composite material layers.
