ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 14 -- United States Patent no. 12,682,720, issued on July 14, was assigned to IGT (Las Vegas).

"Electronic gaming machine having reels that include enlarged symbols" was invented by Tracy Soon (Reno, Nev.), Rachel Guthrie (Carson City, Nev.), Matthew Palazzetti (Reno, Nev.) and Jason Mead (Reno, Nev.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A gaming system including a housing and a reel assembly including rotatable reel having a reel strip including one or more enlarged symbols."

The patent was filed on June 25, 2024, under Application No. 18/753,636.
