ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,753,145, issued on Oct. 6, was assigned to IDEMITSU KOSAN Co. LTD. (Chiyoda-ku, Japan).

"Aromatic amine derivative, and organic electroluminescent element using same" was invented by Tomoki Kato (Ichihara, Japan), Takayasu Sado (Urayasu, Japan) and Takahiro Fujiyama (Kisarazu, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An aromatic amine derivative represented by formula (1):wherein R1, R2, R3, L, Ar1, Ar2, k, m, and n are the same as defined in the specification, is useful as a material for an organic EL device and realizes an organic EL device with a high efficiency and a long lifetime even when driving it at a low voltage."
