ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,537,677, issued on Jan. 27, was assigned to Idaho Scientific LLC (Boise, Idaho).

"One-time key derivation" was invented by Andrew James Weiler (Nampa, Idaho) and Nathan Charles Chrisman (Nampa, Idaho).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A system for generating keys comprises a plurality of share selecting modules, each module containing multiple storage buffers connected to a selector.
