ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 14 -- United States Patent no. 12,683,168, issued on July 14, was assigned to Hyundai Motor Co. (Seoul, South Korea) and Kia Corp. (Seoul, South Korea).

"Anode for lithium secondary battery and method for manufacturing same" was invented by Sang Wook Han (Ansan-si, South Korea), Geun Ho Choi (Suwon-si, South Korea), Kyeong Wi Park (Suwon-si, South Korea), Hyun Jin Kim (Daegu, South Korea), Yong Il Cho (Seoul, South Korea) and Han Nah Song (Ansan-si, South Korea).
