ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,298,212, issued on May 13, was assigned to Hologic Inc. (Marlborough, Mass.).

"Systems for automated preparation of biological specimens" was invented by Barry F. Hunt (Andover, Mass.), Raymond Jenoski (Boylston, Mass.), Ryan Oliva (Mendon, Mass.), Michael Cordeiro (Warwick, R.I.) and Eric Grimes (Hopedale, Mass.).
