ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,780,291, issued on Nov. 3, was assigned to HL MANDO Corp. (Pyeongtaek-si, South Korea).
"Steer-by-wire steering device" was invented by Hyunbi Kwon (Yongin-si, South Korea).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A steer-by-wire steering device may provide a steering reaction force to the driver when the electronic control system fails by securing mechanical reliability, suppress an increase in production costs while enhancing reliability, and secure the reliability of the steering angle sensing structure."
