ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,692,920, issued on July 28, was assigned to HL MANDO Corp. (Pyeongtaek, South Korea).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The disclosed caliper brake includes a piston configured to move forward and backward in an axial direction and a back plate provided to face a front side of the piston, wherein the piston is provided with a suction plate provided on a front surface of the piston and having a center concavely formed rearward to adsorb the back plate during the piston moving forward."
