US Patent Issued to Hitachi on April 21 for "Altitude calculation method and altitude calculation program for flying body, and flying body including the same" (Japanese Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,607,706, issued on April 21, was assigned to Hitachi Ltd. (Tokyo).

"Altitude calculation method and altitude calculation program for flying body, and flying body including the same" was invented by Kenichi Mizugaki (Tokyo), Yuichi Igarashi (Tokyo) and Masanori Ishino (Tokyo).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided is an altitude calculation method for a flying body including calculating an altitude of the flying body by using information on horizontal coordinates of the flying body, a reception signal strength of a radio signal, and altitude calculation auxiliary information obtained in advance."
