ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,677,400, issued on July 7, was assigned to Hitachi Astemo Ltd. (Ibaraki, Japan).

"In-vehicle device" was invented by Kimihito Watanabe (Hitachinaka, Japan) and Naoki Hoshiya (Hitachinaka, Japan).
