US Patent Issued to Hill's Pet Nutrition on Feb. 17 for "Methods, kits and compositions for diagnosing and treating renal disease" (Kansas Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,553,902, issued on Feb. 17, was assigned to Hill's Pet Nutrition Inc. (Overland Park, Kan.).

"Methods, kits and compositions for diagnosing and treating renal disease" was invented by Dayakar Badri (Lawrence, Kan.) and Dennis Jewell (Lawrence, Kan.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Methods and kits for assessing the propensity of developing urolithiasis, kidney disease, or bladder disease in pets; and compositions to treat such conditions are described herein."
