ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,752,572, issued on Oct. 6, was assigned to Hill-Rom Services Inc. (Batesville, Ind.).
"Caster having status indicator light" was invented by Justin Freese (Batesville, Ind.), Robert Mark Zerhusen (Cincinnati) and David C. Newkirk (Lawrenceburg, Ind.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A patient support apparatus includes a frame, a plurality of wheels, and a status indicator light assembly coupled to at least one of the plurality of wheels. The status indicator light assembly is configured to provide notice to surrounding areas regarding a status of a plurality of casters included in the plurality of wheels."
