According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "In some implementations, a network device may receive an indication of a next-next-hop of the network device and link quality information of the next-next-hop. The network device may transmit network traffic based on the indication of the next-next-hop and the link quality information of the next-next-hop."
