ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,647,367, issued on June 2, was assigned to Hewlett Packard Enterprise Development LP (Houston).

"Control packet priority based on subscriber state" was invented by Venkatesh Padebettu (Bangalore, India).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "In some implementations, a network device may receive a control packet. The network device may determine a priority corresponding to a subscriber state of a client device associated with the control packet. The network device may assign the priority to the control packet. The network device may transmit the control packet."

The patent was filed on July 3, 2023, under Application No. 18/346,383.
