US Patent Issued to Halliburton Energy Services on June 23 for "Hydrogen reactive oil well cement additives" (Texas Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,662,617, issued on June 23, was assigned to Halliburton Energy Services Inc. (Houston).

"Hydrogen reactive oil well cement additives" was invented by Paul J. Jones (Houston) and Samuel J. Lewis (Houston).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method including providing a cement slurry comprising particulates, wherein the particulates comprise an unsaturated hydrocarbon, which can be solid, and a hydrogenation catalyst, and placing the cement slurry downhole, for example, in a wellbore."
