US Patent Issued to H.B. Fuller on July 28 for "Hot melt composition in the form of a film for use in photovoltaic modules" (Connecticut, Pennsylvania Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,692,378, issued on July 28, was assigned to H.B. Fuller Co. (St. Paul, Minn.).

"Hot melt composition in the form of a film for use in photovoltaic modules" was invented by Thomas F. Kauffman (Easton, Pa.) and Jayesh G. Bokria (South Windsor, Conn.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention features a hot melt composition in the form of a film including a blend of propylene based polymers and ethylene based polymers. The hot melt composition in the form of a film is useful as an encapsulant for photovoltaic modules."

The patent was filed on March 20, 2024, under Application No. 18/611,600.
