ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,577,114, issued on March 17, was assigned to GROUP14 TECHNOLOGIES INC. (Woodinville, Wash.).
"Silicon-carbon composites" was invented by Abirami Dhanabalan (Bothell, Wash.), Avery J. Sakshaug (Snohomish, Wash.) and Henry R. Costantino (Woodinville, Wash.).
