ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,497,565, issued on Dec. 16, was assigned to Graphyte Inc. (Memphis, Tenn.).

"Verifiable and repairable preserved biolandfill for biological carbon sequestration and compositions for biological carbon preservation" was invented by Harry William Deckman (Clinton, N.J.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention is directed to a dry tomb biolandfill for biological carbon sequestration, and more particularly compositions of a biolandfill containing a salt biomass composite."

The patent was filed on May 11, 2023, under Application No. 18/316,132.
