ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,642,399, issued on June 2, was assigned to GPCP IP Holdings LLC (Atlanta).

"Partitionable paper product" was invented by Steven R. Olson (Madison, Wis.), David A. Hoadley (Hortonville, Wis.) and Thomas J. Daul (Oneida, Wis.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure is directed to a paper towel product that will capably separate from the paper towel roll as a full sheet, a half sheet or a quarter sheet. A method of making a paper towel with machine direction perforations is also disclosed."

The patent was filed on Aug. 5, 2024, under Application No. 18/794,661.
