ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,625,320, issued on May 12, was assigned to GlobalFoundries U.S. Inc. (Malta, N.Y.).

"Photodetectors with an adjoined slotted waveguiding structure" was invented by Yusheng Bian (Ballston Lake, N.Y.), Won Suk Lee (Malta, N.Y.), Sujith Chandran (Clifton Park, N.Y.) and Abdelsalam Aboketaf (Essex Junction, Vt.).
