ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,710,074, issued on Aug. 18, was assigned to GKN Driveline Deutschland GmbH (Offenbach, Germany).
"Constant velocity ball joint" was invented by Peter Muller (Wachtersbach, Germany).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Constant-velocity ball joint, having at least a joint outer part with an axis of rotation and with outer ball tracks and with outer center lines, a joint inner part with inner ball tracks and inner center lines, and a large number of torque-transmitting balls which are each guided in mutually associated outer ball tracks and inner ball tracks."
The patent was filed on Dec. 16, 2022, under Application No. 18/067,160.
