US Patent Issued to GIVAUDAN on April 14 for "Beverage" (Japanese Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,599,154, issued on April 14, was assigned to GIVAUDAN SA (Vernier, Switzerland).

"Beverage" was invented by Atsushi Hibino (Tokyo).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A citrus-flavoured beverage comprising a beverage base, citrus flavour and a citrus flavour-enhancing proportion of a mega-fatty complex. The addition of mega-fatty complex gives a juicier, more natural flavour to the beverage."

The patent was filed on Oct. 21, 2015, under Application No. 15/519,929.
