ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,661,159, issued on June 23, was assigned to Genesys Orthopedic Systems LLC (Austin, Texas).

"Orthopedic anchor system" was invented by Josh Kaufmann (Austin, Texas), Landon Gilkey (Austin, Texas), Greg Calbert (Austin, Texas), Scott Bryant (Austin, Texas), Maahir Haque (Orlando, Fla.), Scott L. Parker (Nashville, Tenn.) and Bill Sowers (Austin, Texas).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An embodiment includes a sacroiliac joint bone anchor system."

The patent was filed on July 17, 2025, under Application No. 19/272,133.
