US Patent Issued to Generac Power Systems on June 16 for "Alternator with rotor lamination stack" (Wisconsin Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,658,746, issued on June 16, was assigned to Generac Power Systems Inc. (Waukesha, Wis.).

"Alternator with rotor lamination stack" was invented by David William Pollock (Milwaukee).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A rotor core lamination is provided. The rotor core lamination includes a plurality of salient poles. Each of the salient poles includes: a pole body having a central axis in a radial direction of the rotor core lamination; and a pole shoe extending radially outward from the pole body, wherein the pole shoe has a pole shoe arc, and a central point of the pole shoe arc is offset from the central axis."
