ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,663,449, issued on June 23, was assigned to GE VERNOVA INFRASTRUCTURE TECHNOLOGY LLC (Greenville, S.C.).
"Device for measuring temperature gradients applied to a precision capacitive divider voltage sensor" was invented by Patrice Juge (Aix-les-Bains, France) and Reto Christen (Oberentfelden, Switzerland).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A capacitive sensor having a cylindrical capacitor, for a conductor of a GIS. The capacitive sensor having at least two digital or analog temperature sensors."
The patent was filed on Feb. 29, 2024, under Application No. 18/591,512.
