US Patent Issued to G-3 Chickadee Purchaser on Jan. 27 for "Polymer terminated with polyaromatic hydrocarbon" (Ohio Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,534,558, issued on Jan. 27, was assigned to G-3 Chickadee Purchaser LLC (Akron, Ohio).

"Polymer terminated with polyaromatic hydrocarbon" was invented by Gyusaang Youn (Copley, Ohio).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A functionalized elastomer includes the reaction product of a living elastomeric polymer and a polyaromatic hydrocarbon terminator. The polyaromatic hydrocarbon terminator may be selected from 2-naphthaldehyde, 9-anthracenecarboxaldehyde, and 1-pyrenecarboxaldehyde. The functionalized elastomer may be compounded in a rubber composition which may be used to form a tire."
