ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,671,755, issued on June 30, was assigned to FYX BV (Sint-Niklaas, Belgium).
"Composite fastener" was invented by Ivan Peeters (Beveren, Belgium).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An improved assembly of joining two different kinds of anchoring elements, at least one of which is flexible, each equipped with anchoring in such a way that when the two surfaces are positioned against each other, they grip and clamp together."
The patent was filed on Aug. 18, 2025, under Application No. 19/302,979.
