ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,416,468, issued on Sept. 16, was assigned to FX RnD AB (Mariestad, Sweden).
"Gas-powered gun" was invented by Fredrik Axelsson (Mariestad, Sweden).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A gas-powered gun for discharge of projectiles, comprising a pressure chamber for holding compressed gas, a valve arranged to release compressed gas from the pressure chamber to thereby discharge a projectile provided in a barrel, and a plenum chamber in fluid connection with the pressure chamber. The plenum chamber is formed coaxially around a rear portion of the barrel."
The patent was filed on Nov. 13, 2023, under Application No. 18/388,979.
