ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,754,354, issued on Oct. 6, was assigned to Fujikura Ltd. (Tokyo).

"Optical computing device and method for manufacturing optical computing device" was invented by Hiroyuki Yamagishi (Chiba, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An optical computing device includes a substrate and planar light diffraction elements. Each of the planar light diffraction elements is fixed to the substrate and includes microcells that have respective thicknesses or refractive indices set independently."
