ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 27 -- United States Patent no. 12,775,196, issued on Oct. 27, was assigned to FUJIFILM Corp. (Tokyo).

"Printer that includes a support rib for supporting instant film and digital camera including printer that includes a support rib for supporting instant film" was invented by Akimasa Kaya (Saitama, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A printer unit includes a film pack room, an exposure head, a transport roller pair, a spreading roller, and a support rib. The support rib is provided between the film pack room and the exposure head in a transport direction, and supports an instant film from a side facing the exposure head."
