ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,545,185, issued on Feb. 10, was assigned to FSVAP USA INC. (Auburn Hills, Mich.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An external visual image device located beneath and within a wheel base of a vehicle includes a mounting bracket coupled to the vehicle, a housing, and a camera. The housing is coupled to the mounting bracket and defines an interior compartment. The camera is coupled to the housing and is arranged to lie within the interior compartment."
