US Patent Issued to Fresenius Medical Care Holdings on Oct. 6 for "Medical fluid drain containers and related systems and methods" (Oklahoma, New Hampshire Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,752,045, issued on Oct. 6, was assigned to Fresenius Medical Care Holdings Inc. (Waltham, Mass.).

"Medical fluid drain containers and related systems and methods" was invented by David Yuds (Hudson, N.H.) and Jun Yi (Norman, Okla.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method includes collecting used dialysis fluid in a container and combining the dialysis fluid with an acid to lower the pH value of the used dialysis fluid."
