ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,496,636, issued on Dec. 16, was assigned to Freeform Future Corp. (Hawthorne, Calif.).

"Independent laser-beam steering for laser beamforming in metal additive manufacturing using powder-bed fusion" was invented by Derek Schmuland (El Segundo, Calif.), Thomas J Ronacher (Los Angeles) and Erik Palitsch (Manhattan Beach, Calif.).
