ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,594,262, issued on April 7, was assigned to ForwardVue Pharma Inc. (Mobile, Ala.).
"CAI nanoemulsions" was invented by Alan J. Franklin (Mobile, Ala.), Laurent Balenci (Mobile, Ala.), Srikanth Kakamanu (Mobile, Ala.) and Robert Dempsey (Mobile, Ala.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure relates to nanoemulsions of 5-amino-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)-3,5-dichlorobenzyl]-1,2,3-triazole-4-carboxamide (carboxy-amido-triazole or CAI), methods of preparing thereof, and their use in the treatment of inflammatory optic neuropathies."
