ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,607,320, issued on April 21, was assigned to FORD GLOBAL TECHNOLOGIES LLC (Dearborn, Mich.).
"High efficiency light guide" was invented by Linsheng Chen (Novi, Mich.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A light guide comprises a center body portion that extends along a center axis and which has a first end associated with a light source and an opposite second end associated with a plurality of non-coplanar surfaces. A first leg portion extends away from the center body portion in a first direction and a second leg portion extends away from the center body portion in a second direction opposite of the first direction."
