ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 20 -- United States Patent no. 12,529,197, issued on Jan. 20, was assigned to FASTEPC INC. (Jacksonville, Fla.).
"Terrapin system" was invented by Ryan Ayers (Sandyston, N.J.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention relates to a terrapin for installing a pipe foundation and works by sandwiching soil for final pin placement. The terrapin is a system used to strengthen unconfined soil layers. The terrapin dramatically reduces the potential for project site disruption by creating a sandwich of the soil layers to strengthen the soil properties during pin placement and installing a casing."
The patent was filed on Sept. 14, 2022, under Application No. 17/931,924.
