ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,637,271, issued on May 26, was assigned to Fasteners for Retail Inc. (Twinsburg, Ohio).
"Security tag housing" was invented by Gabriel Garduno (Minneapolis), Jeffrey Allen Comstock (Edgerton, Wis.), Keith C. Eden (Loves Park, Ill.) and Thomas O. Nagel (Rockford, Ill.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A housing for a security tag having improved band attachments is provided. The housing includes undercut regions for receipt of the band to allow for securement of the band to the security tag."
The patent was filed on Jan. 17, 2024, under Application No. 18/415,265.
