ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,624,215, issued on May 12, was assigned to Ever Dye (Bry-sur-Marne, France).

"Cationic dyes and uses thereof" was invented by Amira Erokh (Evry-Courcouronnes, France), Cleverton Pirih (Evry-Courcouronnes, France) and Elsa Tufenkjian (Evry-Courcouronnes, France).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to new nanocellulose-based cationic dyes, to a process for their synthesis, and to their use in processes for dyeing fibers, such as textile fibers."

The patent was filed on Jan. 11, 2023, under Application No. 18/727,388.
