ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,620,728, issued on May 5, was assigned to EDGEWOOD ENTERPRISES LLC (Pawtucket, R.I.).
"Isolation switch and terminal rings" was invented by Ewan Burnett (Watrous, N.M.) and Marek Marak (Urcice, Czech Republic).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An isolation switch includes a plurality of posts connectable to trace lines and/or a ground line at one side of a housing of the switch. Inside the switch, a conducting contact plate can be moved between a bonded mode, where each of the terminals are interconnected, and a test mode, where the contact plate moves, within the housing, electrically isolating each post and allowing for discrete locating."
