ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,593,842, issued on April 7, was assigned to ECOLAB USA INC. (Saint Paul, Minn.).
"In situ generation of peroxycarboxylic acids at alkaline pH, and methods of use thereof" was invented by Junzhong Li (Saint Paul, Minn.), David D. McSherry (Saint Paul, Minn.) and Richard Staub (Saint Paul, Minn.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure is related to percarboxylic acid compositions formed in situ in non-equilibrium reactions. The peroxycarboxylic acid compositions are formed using ester based starting materials. Methods for using the percarboxylic acid compositions are also disclosed."
