ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,486,424, issued on Dec. 2, was assigned to Eastman Chemical Co. (Kingsport, Tenn.).

"Stretchable multilayer films" was invented by Sunil Vilas Kulkarni (Kingsport, Tenn.), Thomas Joseph Pecorini (Kingsport, Tenn.), Jamie Sue Dziczkowski (Kingsport, Tenn.), John Evan Boisseau (Bonita Springs, Fla.) and Babatunde Samuel Olaiya (Greensboro, N.C.).
