US Patent Issued to Dummen Group on July 22 for "Phlox plant named 'Dophlolawhi'" (Dutch Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 23 -- United States Patent no. PP36,851, issued on July 22, was assigned to Dummen Group B.V. (De Lier, Netherlands).

"Phlox plant named 'Dophlolawhi'" was invented by Ellen van Sambeek (Oegstgeest, Netherlands).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A new and distinct cultivar of Phlox plant named 'Dophlolawhi', characterized by its outwardly spreading to creeping and mounding plant habit; moderately vigorous growth habit; dark green-colored leaves; freely flowering habit; relatively late flowering; white-colored flowers; and good garden performance."
