ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 13 -- United States Patent no. 12,522,558, issued on Jan. 13, was assigned to DSM IP Assets B.V. (Switzerland).
"Process for the acylation of an alpha, omega-alkanediol" was invented by Peter Hans Riebel (Kaiseraugst, Switzerland) and Angela Wildermann (Kaiseraugst, Switzerland).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention relates to a safe and efficient process for the for the acylation of an Alpha,Omega-alkanediol, which can be used in the manufacture of Omega-nitrooxy-C3-10alkane-1-ols. The process is safer to operators and allows to obtain advantageous yields on industrial scale."
The patent was filed on April 21, 2021, under Application No. 17/920,327.
