ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,594,234, issued on April 7, was assigned to DSM IP ASSETS B.V. (Maastricht, Netherlands).
"Use of an epilobium fleischeri extract" was invented by Joshua Claypool (Kaiseraugst, Switzerland), Dominik Imfeld (Kaiseraugst, Switzerland) and Riccardo Sfriso (Kaiseraugst, Switzerland).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to an Epilobium extract, preferably an Epilobium fleischeri extract for use as a prebiotic."
The patent was filed on Sept. 17, 2021, under Application No. 18/026,681.
