ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 3 -- United States Patent no. PP36,911, issued on Sept. 2, was assigned to Driscoll's Inc. (Watsonville, Calif.).

"Strawberry plant named 'DrisStrawOneHundredSeven'" was invented by Sarah Palmer (East Malling, Great Britain), Philip J. Stewart (Royal Oaks, Calif.), Umberto Rosolia (Maidstone, Great Britain) and Alessandra Lillo (Bologna, Italy).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A new and distinct variety of strawberry plant named 'DrisStrawOneHundredSeven', particularly selected for its yield potential, fruit quality, and moderate plant habit, is disclosed."
