ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 3 -- United States Patent no. PP37,298, issued on March 3, was assigned to Driscoll's Inc. (Watsonville, Calif.).
"Strawberry plant named 'DrisStrawOneHundredTwelve'" was invented by Omar Carrillo Mendoza (Guadalajara, Mexico) and Sofia Pilar Cuevas Hernandez (Zamora, Mexico).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A new and distinct variety of strawberry plant named 'DrisStrawOneHundredTwelve', particularly selected for its early time of production, high yield potential, fruit size, and disease resistance, is disclosed."
