ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 14 -- United States Patent no. 12,679,506, issued on July 14, was assigned to DOW SOLUTIONS LLC (Pittsburgh).

"Temporary barge or boat hatch insert for facilitating void space" was invented by Justin Dow (Monroeville, Pa.) and Erik Arlet (Pittsburgh).
