US Patent Issued to DOW GLOBAL TECHNOLOGIES on Sept. 8 for "Aqueous composition" (Chinese Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,729,313, issued on Sept. 8, was assigned to DOW GLOBAL TECHNOLOGIES LLC (Midland, Mich.).

"Aqueous composition" was invented by Yaguang Zhao (Shanghai), Jianming Xu (Shanghai), Wei Cui (Shanghai) and Zhen Qian (Shanghai).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An aqueous composition comprises (a) an acrylic copolymer comprising structural units of an ethylenically unsaturated acetoacetyl functional monomer and (b) a specific multihydroxy-functional amine, which can provide good formaldehyde abatement property and reduced yellowing."

The patent was filed on Dec. 30, 2020, under Application No. 18/251,785.
